Quincie & Jensen met through a mutual friend who really wanted to set them up, but both of them kept refusing. Luckily, their friend took matters into their own hands and organized a dinner without telling them! Both of them knew almost immediately that their friend was onto something, and in Quincie’s words, ‘we were hooked and couldn’t get enough of each other… and here we are after almost 4 years of marriage’. We went for a little hike in Provo’s Mountains to find ourselves in a field of lush green, punctuated by beautiful yellow flowers that matched their bubbly personalities.

If you know me, you know I LOVE to travel, and I especially love having the chance to escape the city. So, taking these photos for Quincie & Jensen in the mountains just outside of Provo was an absolute treat. It’s always so refreshing to escape the city, especially to a place with such beautiful scenery. I don’t know about you, but I find the moment I get out onto roads surrounded by nature I feel myself immediately relax. I think it’s this feeling of freedom and relaxation that makes Outdoor Couples Photoshoots so much fun – because you’re not worried about parking meters or being reminded of all the things you need to do, you’re able to simply take a deep breath and enjoy the moment with your love.

Choosing a Location for Your Couples Photoshoot
Of course, if you’re booking in a couple’s photoshoot, there are endless locations to choose from! You could have a shoot in your home, at the café where you had your first date, or exploring the streets of your hometown. You definitely shouldn’t overlook the possibility of using your Couples Photoshoot as a chance to Escape the City though!
The most important question to ask yourself is what do the two of you most enjoy doing together? Or is there something that perhaps you’ve always wanted to do, but for one reason or another, it’s just never happened. If you spend your free time together exploring new trails, or you always find yourself saying ‘perhaps this weekend we could go for a walk in the forest’, then now’s your time!

If you want, you could even turn it into an excuse to have a weekend away in the mountains, out in the desert or by a beautiful lake. Luckily for us, the USA is filled with some truly beautiful, diverse scenery and so many world-famous national parks. You never know the beauty that awaits you just outside the city limits.

Of course, photos along the beach are a classic example – there’s nothing like the salty ocean air and the wide blue expanse of the Atlantic or the Pacific. You could get some photos in the dunes, walking along the beach or even play in the shallows if you’re up for it. If you don’t live near the coast though, don’t fret! Most lakes and rivers also have lovely little beaches that make for stunning photos and a wonderful escape from the city.

If you prefer the greenery of the forest or the woods over the blues of the ocean, why not use your Outdoor Couples Photoshoot as an excuse to explore a mountain trail? If you spend a lot of time in the outdoors, you no doubt have a favorite spot. Otherwise, ask your photographer! I never tire of exploring new locations and I’d love to take you to one of my favorite trails. And it doesn’t need to be difficult! Most mountain areas have easy trails for beginners or casual hikers that still have breathtaking mountain views, beautiful wide-open fields and some lovely greenery that all make for the Perfect Photoshoot Location.
