Willow Lake // Prescott, AZ // Engagement // Whitney & Bradley

Whitney and Brad booked me when they were referred by Starstruck Event Planning. They were looking for an engagement and wedding photographer, lucky for me!  I love my job because I get the chance to work with other entrepreneurs. It is awesome to be able to support my fellow business owners and help grow our businesses with the support of one another. 

Whitney and Brad told me they are not photogenic, which is something that A LOT of my clients say.  I am going to tell you a secret: it is never true. The reason I love couples is because they love each other (I feel like this bit needs to be emphasized, and to do so in writing ,you italicize it). When you take two people who are madly in love and put them in front of the camera, they will light up in the most beautiful way. Every single person I have photographed is stunning and photogenic, because they are all kind and good people. That is something that always shines through. Not to mention, Whitney slays it with her makeup.  

Willow Lake is one of my favorite spots in Prescott, so I am always super excited when I get to take someone from out of town to this location. 

Whitney isn’t really from out of town, though. She went to Bradshaw High, and moved away after, so she is still a Prescott girl. Naturally, the town is special to them, so they were happy to have their engagement photos taken here!

I love the lake because it has such a variety of locations. You can walk out on the dock, wander back into some big beautiful trees, catch the light in tall grasses…. I like to end the photoshoot by walking up to the rocks of the Granite Dells and taking photos with the entire lake and town in the background as the sun sets.
