Queen Creek, AZ // In-home Couple's Session // Amanda & Kwaku

Amanda is a baker with an in-home bakery so when we were deciding on shoot locations for some couples pictures I was thrilled that her and Kwaku were up for the adventure of an at home baking session! Amanda usually uses her expertise to make some truly gorgeous wedding cakes, but for this shoot she subbed the fondant for some sweet heart shaped sugar cookies. 

Amanda’s home kitchen in Queen Creek provided the perfect backdrop for these couples pictures with long white textured cabinets and marble countertops. Amanda and Kwaku made the session tons of fun, not afraid to have a flour fight or cuddle close on the counter to sip coffee and share a quiet moment. They even danced in front of a sign that says “in this kitchen, we dance”.  It couldn’t have been any more perfect! 

Covered in flour with the cookies in the oven, they talked, laughed, and played- giving a glimpse into a casual afternoon of romance. This session turned out just as beautiful as the real life scene, bathed in the soft glow of natural lighting and the sweet moments of connection between Kwaku and Amanda. Couples pictures like these have the magical ability to freeze a moment in time that will always bring you back to a handful of happy memories.
