Thunderbird Mountain // Surprise, AZ // Kaylee & Chance

Thunderbird Mountain, Surprise, Arizona, Phoenix, Engagement Couples photo session

Kaylee and Chance have been dating for 3 years. When I asked their story, Chance told me that she put him in the friend zone in high school. It clearly didn't work because now they are happy together and one of the cutest couples I've worked with. I am a hopeless romantic, so love stories like that are always my favorite. Stories about a guy patiently waiting to get his girl.

Kaylee is a fellow photographer that I met in college, I was so excited to meet Chance and photograph them together. She has modeled for a lot of other photographers so she knows how to pose without me saying much. The best thing someone can do when being photographed is to try and stay loose and comfortable. Changing positions is a great way to not feel stuck and awkward in front of the camera. And if there's any question about what you're doing, ask the photographer! It's their job to make you look great.

My favorite way to get genuine photos of couples is to make them move and play together. This ensures that the way they appear in photos is natural and happy. Laughter and movement are the key to successful photos. So fair warning, if you book a session with me, I am probably going to try and make you be a little silly. It is hands down, the best way to get genuine photos that really let your happiness shine through..

We couldn't have been luckier on the day that we chose, the warm sun in the valley made it comfortable enough. But the cloud cover provided the perfect lighting. It was an amazing day and an amazing location to get some gorgeous desert shots. Nothing could have been better for a couple who met in the desert and fell in love in the desert.
