MORAN POINT ELOPEMENT / MARINE & MICHAEL
Marine & Michael’s Grand Canyon Elopement Photography was so wonderfully unique to them, from her pink veil to their 420-themed cake topper. Not to mention, their Moran Point Wedding Ceremony was so beautiful – I can’t wait to share the photos with you today!
There are so many myths surrounding elopements, and one of them is that elopements have to be relatively boring, simple affairs, which just isn’t true!! One of my favorite things about elopements is that it’s a chance for you and your love to really let your personalities shine. Now of course, that might mean keeping things truly minimal, or it might mean hand-dying your veil pink, commissioning a 420-themed cookie cake topper and switching out said veil for a hat just cause. In Marine & Michael’s case, an absolute dream of a couple who met working at a dispensary, they went for the latter and it was truly spectacular.
GRAND CANYON ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHY
Grand Canyon Elopement Photography
In case you don’t already know by now, I am a huge fan of Grand Canyon Elopements – so much so that I even wrote an entire guide on How to Elope at the Grand Canyon! This world-famous Arizona destination doesn’t disappoint, especially around sunrise or sunset when the air glows as if it were made from gold. Marine & Michael had never actually been to the Canyon before their Grand Canyon Elopement, but they knew it was the perfect location for them.
They flew from Washington to Vegas, carting their flowers and outfits along with them for the ride. Their flowers, from Pozie by Natalie, were so beautiful and not that you’d know it, but they were actually fake! Given how hot it can get in Arizona, and that they had to travel from the Northwest, it was the perfect choice for their elopement.
Moran Point Wedding Ceremony
There are a few different viewpoints around the Grand Canyon National Park where you can get married, but my absolute favorite is Moran Point – and that just happens to be the spot that Marine & Michael just for their Wedding Ceremony. We were lucky enough on their elopement day to have the entire spot to ourselves! Of course, this is absolutely perfect for intimate ceremonies. Pastor Steve officiated their Moran Point Wedding Ceremony, and Wilson & I felt incredibly privileged to be asked to sign their license as witnesses.
Candid Elopement Photography
Of course, you can’t come to a location as incredible as the Grand Canyon and not take some time out for some Grand Canyon Elopement Photography! One of the other incredible benefits of eloping is that there aren’t often time constraints like at more traditional weddings. This mean that you can really relax and just have fun with your day, like Marine & Michael. One of the most important things to them about their day was photography, and they were open to any and all of my crazy ideas! We had so much fun with their portraits – I have to say, they’re some of my favorites from last year!
