What Shoes To Wear On Your Wedding Day

arizona wedding photographer what shoes should you wear on your wedding day?

It can be hard to decide what shoes to wear on your wedding day, and you can probably guess what my advice is before I even say it... do what makes you comfortable! Your wedding day is all about you and you want to be comfortable because the last thing you should be worrying about is your feet.

For the glam bride

You might live for the empowering feeling of strutting in a gorgeous pair of heels. If you love wearing heels then you absolutely deserve a pair of sparkly bridal heels for your wedding day! Get a pair that is comfortable enough for the day and gorgeous enough for the queen that you are.

If you are getting married somewhere with grass like a golf course you can buy plastic pieces to glue on to your heels so that they don’t make it difficult to walk down the aisle!

For the country bride

If you are having a rustic wedding at a gorgeous ranch venue then you deserve a brand new pair of beautifully embroidered boots for your wedding day. Your cowboy boots are your go to shoes on a normal day, so get an extra pretty pair of boots and you'll be ready to two-step at your reception.

For the laid back bride

Do you just want to be comfortable because your dress is going to cover your shoes up most of the day anyways? Get a pair of pretty flats or sneakers and you'll be cute and comfortable! Sparkly slide-on flats still let your cute bridal pedicure peek out. Or a pair of bridal vans or converse can be a really fun option for you and the whole wedding party!

For the adventurous bride

If you are having an adventurous elopement or wedding you can rock your hiking boots or sneakers for the ceremony. You're an adventurous babe and having a pair of badass hiking boots will show that off!

But what if it’s snowing? Snow boots baby! Get a cute pair of snowboots and you will be ready to face the elements for your winter wedding.

And the last adventurous option, if you are getting married by the water, you can go barefoot! Let yourself feel grounded all day with your toes in the sand.

For the bride who can’t decide!

And if you just can’t decide between comfort and high heels  you can wear heels for your ceremony and bridal photos and then change into something else for the reception! I would say about half of my brides do this because you don’t have to make any sacrifices.

It is your wedding day and everything should perfectly represent you, right down to the shoes on your feet.

Getting Ready Shoes

If you want something cute and comfy for your getting ready photos you can get cute slippers or socks for you and all of your bridesmaids too. No cold feet allowed on your wedding day!

Add some COLOR

Okay, last thing… consider wearing blue shoes! That way all you need is to find something old, something new, and something borrowed!

If you don’t want your shoes to be your something blue you can always have a fun pop of another color! Choose something that goes with your florals or the lipstick you’re wearing. Do whatever feels the most like YOU

Your wedding day should perfectly represent you, from the way you style your hair to the shoes you dance the night away in.
