Ghimgoul Castle // Chapel Hill, North Carolina // Engagement Session // Madeline & Spencer

Hidden in the woods of North Carolina is gorgeous Ghimgoul castle, an enchanting brick structure that immediately transported us into a fairytale! Madeline and Spencer have something of a storybook past, their parents having known each other long before the lovebirds were born. They were destined to end up together so what better place to capture their love than in front of a real life castle?

My friend Reede and I were lucky enough to get to tag along with this sweet couple as they danced together in the natural greenery and exchanged lingering looks in the soft glow of sunlight filtering down between the many branches. We followed the beautiful stone wall down a grassy pathway, Madeline’s white dress trailing along the leaves. The trees twisted and grown together by age provided the perfect spot for the couple to sit together and share a dreamy kiss. 

Although the background was every bit as magical as a real enchanted forest, it paled in comparison to the joyful love on display between Spencer and Madeline. Their happy laughter and carefree smiles made for a shoot just as fun as it was beautiful.
