I kid you not, Georgie & Ryan’s beautiful wedding was an incredible event where Footloose somehow met with a woodland fairy forest. Their fall nuptials were styled to perfection and the dance floor was SO much fun. Not to mention, they weren’t afraid to do their wedding their way. For Georgie & Ryan, they really wanted to have a Mormon Lake Lodge Wedding, but they also wanted to get married in the Catholic church, so they made it work (despite the 30-minute drive!). And the unique touches didn’t stop there…

Mormon Lake Lodge Wedding
If you’re looking to plan a cozy woodland-style wedding in Arizona, then you can’t go past Mormon Lake Lodge. The Lodge is surrounded by pine forests and, as you’d imagine from the name, is located by the beautiful Mormon Lake. It’s ideal especially if you’ll have loved ones travelling longer distances, because there are plenty of beautiful wooden cabins used for holiday accommodation (and a campground, if that’s more your style!).
Georgie & Ryan got ready there and had a beautiful Mormon Lake Lodge Wedding reception in a wooden reception hall. They decked it out with string lights – really, they were everywhere! – which set the mood for their guests who partied long into the night. Ryan and his brothers were especially adorable dancing together, which their Dad told me is something they’ve always loved to do. In a world where it can be easy to be overwhelmed by wedding trends and fads, I really believe Georgie & Ryan’s wedding is a beautiful example of how to stay true to yourself.
Flagstaff Wedding Photography
A big part of planning a wedding that’s true to you (and getting beautiful, authentic wedding photos), is including unique touches. This doesn’t have to be anything crazy or even necessarily original, but just something that you & your love would love to do on an ordinary day. For Georgie & Ryan, this included everything from shot-gunning beers before their grand reception entrance to stopping for ice cream at Dairy Queen. Georgie & Ryan also smoked cigars by the campfire and took shots of whiskey out of the bottle, which they tell me is a special tradition! It made for really memorable Flagstaff Wedding Photography, and it was such a joy to be a part of.
I also loved that Georgie & Ryan weren’t afraid to take the day as it came and make changes, even at the last minute. This amazing couple had planned to do their wedding flowers themselves, but they realized it might be a touch overwhelming at the last minute. In the end, they hired Sutcliffe Floral, a friend of theirs, and the floral arrangements were so beautiful.
