McDowell Sonoran Preserve Gateway Trail // Scottsdale, Arizona // Couple Session // Sabree & Josh

Sabree & Josh… such a stunning couple, and two incredibly kind and talented people. We had been trying to plan a shoot for months, without success.  At long last, Sabree messaged me to let me know their busy schedules had calmed down. It was time to make some magic!

Sabree lives in the valley and I let her pick a location she liked. We went to a gateway trailhead in Scottsdale, a gorgeous area just outside of the city with incredible plant life. I was so excited to shoot in the desert after all the winter rain.  Everything was so green and lush compared to how it usually is!

Josh and Sabree were so warm and welcoming, instantly greeting me with hugs and enthusiasm. Sabree quickly went to the restroom to change and came out wearing an absolutely stunning dress, the sort photographers dream of capturing. It was navy blue and complimented  her complexion perfectly. Then, after a few moments of admiration, we walked off into the desert to start shooting.

About 20 minutes in we were told we had to return to the trail. I had not seen signs asking that we remain on the path.  Don’t worry, though; we had been careful not to harm any plants or critters. Nonetheless, we returned to the trail and continued to capture photos that were just as beautiful.  It was a little more challenging though, because it is a very popular trail! I frequently had to pause and wait for people to pass by.

After capturing some elegant and GORGEOUS photos, Sabree and Josh changed into more casual outfits. This time, Sabree put on some overalls and heels.  It was time for round two.

Heading in the other direction, we did some more adventurous shots. I love a good dress, but they tend to make it more difficult to do piggyback rides or to snuggle up to your boo on the ground. Because of this I am a huge fan of shooting my clients in multiple outfits.

Sabree and Josh are such a fun and perfect couple. Working with them was amazing. And, I have been lucky enough to work with Sabree again since that day in the valley! More to come.
